Staging Paint Color Results Before and After

As a follow up to my blog post of December 20, 2012, Favorite Paint Colors for Staging, I've been asked to post some before and after pictures of some of the paint colors used.   Below you'll find some interesting paint color changes that I've used throughout various home staging projects where paint color has been used to neutralize the room's space and or to lighten up the space.

Also, there are a lot of homes that still have wallpaper with cabbage roses and large florals from the late 80's and 90's.  The Waverly patterns that were oh so popular during that decorating time period are no longer sought after.  Where a home's decor is definitely a reflection of the homeowner's style while it is their abode, the mind-set of the homeowner, once the decision to sell,  now should be my home is a commodity for sale. This has to be the only thinking if the home is to sell quickly and for top dollar.  Endless time is wasted when a home is not properly or professionally staged.  Sometimes the real estate broker is blamed for the long days on the market statistic which is really not the case.  Let's face it, new buyers want new spaces.  The competition of new homes on the market vs. existing homes is steep.  The model-home look has to be the priority in preparing the seller's home for sale.

I hope you've enjoyed the changes that paint color can make in my photo gallery above and just remember, the professional home stager is not out to offend the seller in any way or to make their lives miserable while they are still living in the staged home.  They are professionals that have been trained in the field for a reason, they are in the business to help the seller execute the quick sale.
